Telangana has 22 ODF Plus villages
Mukra K Village in Adilabad District of Telangana has set up a 15-member special sanitation committee to examine challenges faced by the community and explore best possible solutions. “We visit every household in the Gram Panchayat (GP) every Sunday to take feedback on the current process and to resolve problems if any,” explained Sarpanch of the GP, Ms. Gadge Meenakshi. Further, they stay updated on newly emerging households and their need for sanitation works.
A discussion was held with States on Liquid Waste Management (LWM) technologies suitable for rural areas which are to be implemented as a part of the Swachh Bharat Mission Grameen (SBM-G) Phase II. The event saw the participation of technology experts as well as District/State partners, who shared their valuable experiences in this field.

In continuation of its capacity strengthening initiatives, the Department of Drinking Water and Sanitation (DDWS) is organising a series of orientation programmes to apprise all the stakeholders of the priorities of the programme in SBM Phase II. The first of the series was an e-Orientation for Master Trainers and Field Trainers held on September 25, 2020.
